Duties entail processing personnel actions in excepted service systems as well as in the competitive service. Responsibilities include: review the SF52 (Request for Personnel Action) in order to verify accuracy, completeness and legality of the proposed action request in accordance with established regulations/guides/agency directives; interface with human resources (HR) consultants/management staff to resolve questionable data prepares additional documents for completion of the action request; using the CHRIS automated system, input information to generate an SF-50 (Notification of Personnel Action) which in turn, updates the main DOE Info database.</li> <li>Ensure office records and files are properly maintained and disposed and information is protected. Responds to queries pertaining to employment verification.</li> <li>Research/interpret OPM regulations in order to assist employees on health benefits, life insurance, TSP, beneficiaries, retirement systems and creditable civilian and military service. Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and providing requested forms/information.
