Technical Editor/Analyst<br />Key Role:<br /><br />Work as a technical writer and analyst, serving as an important member of the team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Electronic Health Records Modernization (OEHRM). Write summaries of Congressional hearings and executive-level meetings, design graphics and layouts, and create and edit manuals. Organize and edit operational procedures and policies while working closely with content owners to ensure the accuracy of the documentation. Review materials for clarity, punctuation, grammar, consistency of messaging, and accuracy of content. Develop recommendations on visualization for supporting charts and graphs to improve clarity of messaging in conjunction with written content. Analyze documents for conformity with the OEHRM style guide. Maintain a comprehensive library of documentation and manage all updates and revisions to technical literature. <br /><br />Basic Qualifications:<br /><br />-Experience with scientific research and scientific writing and editing<br /><br />-Experience with writing and editing project products per established government standards for targeted science and lay audiences, including proofreading drafts and final documents<br /><br />-Experience with developing reports and presentations<br /><br />-BA or BS degree and 5 years of experience in a professional work environment<br /><br />Additional Qualifications:<br /><br />-Experience with technical writing or editing of scientific materials<br /><br />-Experience with VA or other health-related organization<br /><br />-Knowledge of common style guides, including the APA Style Guide, The Chicago Manual of Style, or Government Publishing Office Style Manual<br /><br />We're an EOE that empowers our people-no matter their race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristic-to fearlessly drive change.
