Geospatial and Data Analyst, Junior<br /><b>The Challenge: </b><br /><br />With the exponential growth of location-enabled data, the need for and potential uses of geospatial data are exploding. Finding the data, enhancing the data, and partnering with stakeholders to make the data available enables a wide range of techniques, models, and analysis. If you are passionate about these developments, then we have an opportunity for you to use your geospatial skills.<br /><br />As a Booz Allen geospatial and data analyst, you'll be working with a team of analysts, domain experts, data managers, and others. Using tools like ArcGIS, Google Earth, and others, you'll build the partnerships, find and enable the data, and help find the patterns to answer our clients' needs. You'll develop your skills as you use Python, R, and other scripts to work with shapefiles, geodatabase, WMS/WFS, and other data. This data enables the creation of various visualizations to make sure our clients and their stakeholders have the timely information they need. We focus on growing as a team, so we'll share techniques, work through challenges, and develop workflows. Join us as we turn data into knowledge.<br /><br />Serve as a geospatial and data analyst supporting multiple federal government clients. Use tools to model, design, and analyze environmental, demographic, transportation, and infrastructure work. Create and maintain geospatial databases supporting the analysis and visualization of geospatial data. Analyze the development of strategic plans and methodologies to solve complex problems. Develop analytical and technical reports and publications, including creating graphics and writing portions of the documents. Make verbal presentations to internal and external audiences.
