Specialized experience is defined as providing healthcare services to pediatric patients in a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), to include: assessment/examination, diagnostics, and treatment; coordinating care with a multidisciplinary medical and surgical team; and providing education/counseling to pediatric patients and their family members.
