<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />Civilian employees serve a vital role in supporting the Army mission. They provide the skills that are not readily available in the military, but crucial to support military operations. The Army integrates the talents and skills of its military and civilian members to form a Total Army.<br /><br />This is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) position. The incumbent is a member of the Defense Intelligence Senior Level (DISL) program.<br /> Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br />Serves as the Science and Technology (S&T) Advisor to the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-2, Headquarters, Department of the Army in all areas associated with the application of new technologies or technical approaches to enhance the operational capabilities of Army Intelligence. Serves as a recognized subject matter expert in the application of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and other technology advances for potential use in solving the challenges faced by Army Intelligence. Advocates for Army Intelligence capability enhancements via S&T investments. Engages with Army entities for the establishment of pilot programs for promising technologies to address Army Intelligence requirements and shortfalls. Participates in S&T boards and committees representing the DCS, G-2 and chairs the Army Intelligence S&T Community of Interest charged with driving change and innovation in Army Intelligence. Serves under the general direction of and receives broad strategic guidance from incumbent's supervisor, the Director, Plans and Integration, and the DCS, G-2. Include experience in the development, presentation, and defense of Science and Technology proposals and investments to support and enhance intelligence systems and sensors.<br /><br /><strong>Intelligence Community (IC) Senior Officer Core Qualification (</strong><b>SOCQ</b><strong>) Standard – Leading the Intelligence Enterprise – MANDATORY: Required for all positions effective 1 October 2010. </strong>This SOCQ Standard involves the ability to integrate resources, information, interests, and activities effectively in support of the IC's mission and to lead and leverage cross organizational collaborative networks to achieve significant mission results. Inherent to this Standard is a deep understanding of the intelligence enterprise (or other comparable interagency or multi-organizational environment) and a shared commitment to the IC's core values. <strong>(Include a separate attachment one page maximum per competency).</strong><br /><br /><strong>(1) Collaboration and Integration: </strong>IC Senior Officers have a responsibility to share information and knowledge to achieve results, in that regard are expected to build effective networks and alliances; actively engage these peers and stakeholders; involve them in key decisions; and effectively leverage these networks to achieve significant results. Senior officers are expected to create an environment that promotes employee engagement, collaboration, integration, information and knowledge sharing, and the candid, open exchange of diverse points of view.<br /><br /><strong> Candidates assessed against this competency must: </strong><br /><br />a.
