<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />This position serves as a Strategic Planning Analyst in the Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS), Office of the Administrator (OA), Enterprise Transformation Office (ETO). The ETO directly supports the OA in focusing the Agency's resources behind trade-supporting programs and activities by facilitating select executive initiatives and leading organizational performance management efforts. At developmental grade levels, assignments will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity.</li> <li>The duties may include, but are not limited to:</li> <li>Provides leadership and execution support for all strategic planning efforts at FAS.</li> <li>Works closely with FAS leadership, OA Office Representatives, leaders of the FAS Business Operations Unit and the ETO Director to identify, define Agency priorities.</li> <li>Supports communication of these priorities across FAS to ensure cross-Agency alignment and coordination of activities.</li> <li>Engages with the Program Areas to develop action planning and specific metrics which align with the Agency-wide priorities identified by FAS leadership.</li> <li>Supports Agency staff with metric methodology development through expert knowledge of best practices in metric development.</li> <li>Liaises with USDA?s Office of Budget and Program Analysis (OBPA) on metric development.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Travel Required</b><br /><br />Occasional travel – You may be expected to travel for this position.<br /><br />Supervisory status <br /> No <br /><br />Promotion Potential <br /> 14 <br /><br /></li> <b>Requirements</b><br /><br /><b>Conditions of Employment</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>You must be a US Citizen or US National.</li> <li>Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.</li> <li>Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.</li> <li>Successful completion of one year probationary period, unless previously served.</li> <li>Direct Deposit: Per Public Law 104-134 all Federal employees are required to have federal payments made by direct deposit to their financial institution.</li> <li>Successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
