<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br /><strong>Who may apply:</strong> Career Transition (CTAP, ICTAP, RPL), Federal Employees -Competitive Service, Individuals with disabilities, Military Spouses, Peace Corps and AmericCorps Vista, Special authorities, Veterans<br /> Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>Serves as a Lead Administrative Support Specialist for DFAS Headquarters front office administrative and correspondence activities reporting to the Executive Support Office Supervisor, Chief of Staff Office.</li> <li>Serves as a lead liaison for all administrative and technical issues, which directly support the DFAS Director and Principal Deputy Director (DIR/PDD).</li> <li>In conjunction with the supervisor, communicates the organization's mission, vision and values to the team of Administrative Support Specialists; ensures they are integrated into team goals, objectives, work plans, products and services.</li> <li>Participates in the work of the team, coaches and facilitates the selection and application of problem solving techniques or work methods, and assists team in identifying solutions, priorities in and organizing to accomplish the work.</li> <li>Distributes assignments among team members in accordance with workflow, skill level and specialization.</li> <li>Provides expert guidance and assistant to the DIR/PDD and staff personnel regarding mission related functions and action items. Specialized Experience is defined as providing executive-level administrative support and communicating with senior level staff and high-ranking internal and external officials.<br /><br /><strong>Time-in-Grade:</strong> Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement.
