<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />The Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) provides operations support services and business solutions to the community of 10,000 House Members, Officers and staff. The CAO organization comprises more than 600 technical and administrative staff working in a variety of areas, including information technology, finance, budget management, human resources, payroll, child care, food and vending, procurement, logistics and administrative counsel.<br /><br />Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br />The Office of Logistics and Support (L&S) within the Chief Administrative Office, is seeking a professional, customer-service driven Project Specialists to assist with leading and overseeing House related projects for the U.S. House of Representatives', Office Design & Move Services office. The incumbent's responsibilities include overseeing House related projects, office renovations, project coordination, customer service and outreach, and move services. During the transition, the employee will serve as a primary point of contact for Member office move services. Incumbent will schedule work performed by House agency staff, as well as contractors, and will assist with customer service directives and outreach. The incumbent will communicate effectively and foster a productive team oriented environment both within L&S and at all levels within the CAO.<br /><br />The incumbent's pay grade and compensation level are determined based on applicable professional experience, job knowledge, past performance, and assigned level of responsibility. Other duties or special projects as assigned.<br /><br />The position does not have supervisory/managerial responsibilities.<br /><br />Primary Duties/Responsibilities:<br />Serve as lead by planning, managing, and monitoring activities of various House related projects (CHOB Renewal and Transition), modular furniture processes, office redesign and rearranges, office visit consultations, and renovations requests in an efficient and effective manner that result in successful outcomes to stakeholders and customers.<br />Assist with transition planning efforts serving as one of the primary move coordinator POCs for transition related services.<br />Provides collaboration with other House agency staff to ensure partnerships, and cohesiveness to ensure schedules are met to obtain an overall great customer experience.<br /><br />Provide project management oversight by applying subject matter expertise, advice, and support on large projects that include operational components such as logistics, technology support aspects, communication systems, modular furniture, and building infrastructure.<br />Effectively assign resources and coordinate teams to ensure that both sustaining activities and projects are successfully completed in a timely manner.<br />Must have a full working knowledge of all aspects of the CAO Policies and Procedures as they serve as POC, and a general understanding of the applicable legal requirements, House Rules, and the Committee policies.<br />Create a consultative and solutions based work environment for customers and stakeholders through outreach and issue resolution.<br />Establish and maintain a good working relationship with key stakeholders and customers. Experience in office renovation processes, office relocation services, and project oversight. Knowledge of the legislative environment, U.S. House of Representatives, and the operations thereof, preferred.<br /><br />Must possess exceptional organizational, analytical and problem solving skills. A solid understanding of office floorplans and layouts and the ability to interpret layouts efficiently to customers and stakeholders. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written essential with the ability to establish effective working relationships with all staff levels including senior staff and other high ranking officials. Collaborative working style with strong interpersonal, and consultative skills required. Results and goal oriented individual that is self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in coordination with various teams within time constraints.<br /><br />Proven success serving as a source of expert information and managing deadline pressures and multiple challenging assignments simultaneously in a fast-paced work environment.
