The Court Human Resources Division administers a comprehensive excepted service human resources program for over 30,000 employees of the Federal Judiciary.<br /><br />Duties include but are not limited to:<br /><br />1. Providing advice and assistance to court managers and human resources professionals on sensitive employee relations issues (e.g.,misconduct, performance management, etc.) and the interpretation of applicable laws and regulations;<br /> 2. Analyzing workforce data and trends and presenting such information to decisionmakers;<br /> 3. Drafting new or revised HR policies and procedures;<br /> 4. Working with court managers on workforce restructuring and succession planning initiatives;<br /> 5. Serving as an instructor and facilitator for human resources training efforts including classroom training, web-based instruction, and video broadcasts; and<br /> 6. This requirement is according to the AO Classification, Compensation, a]nd Recruitment Systems which include interpretive guidance and reference to the OPM Operating Manual for Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions.<br /><br /><strong> Specialized Experience </strong>: At the entry level, a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement is required. Superior academic achievement is defined as a 3.5 GPA in your major or an overall GPA of 2.9. One year of graduate level education in a related field of study (e.g., human resources management, public administration, business administration, etc.) may be used to substitute for superior academic achievement.<br /><br />At the full performance level, applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position. Specialized experience is demonstrated progressively responsible human resources (HR) experience which demonstrates high-level knowledge and expertise in one or more of the following functional areas: (1) Organizational development/strategic workforce planning; (2) Employee relations; or (3) Compensation principles and practices and the ability to manage multiple compensation systems <br /><br /><b>Education</b><br /><br />If you are using your education to qualify for all or part of the specialized experience requirement, you must submit a copy of your transcripts or an itemized list of courses (which includes equivalent information from the transcript e.g., course title, semester/quarter hours, and grade), from an accredited college or university, with a major in a field that provided you with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position.
