Network Engineer<br />Key Role:<br /><br />Analyze local and wide area network systems, including planning, designing, evaluating, and selecting operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media, such as switches and routers. Resolve interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms, including e-mail, file transfer, multimedia, and teleconferencing. Manage various operating systems that may include Windows workstations, servers, and one or more versions of UNIX across both LAN/WAN environments. Monitor the performance and stability of networks. Configure systems to user environments. Support the acquisition of hardware and software and subcontractor services, as needed. <br /><br />Basic Qualifications: <br /><br />-5+ years of experience with network systems engineering in an enterprise environment <br /><br />-Experience with Layer 3 access-lists and security protocols <br /><br />-Experience with working in a virtualized computing environment <br /><br />-Ability to configure, upgrade, and maintain a variety of switches and routers from multiple vendors <br /><br />-Ability to design and implement a data backup solution for Windows and UNIX systems <br /><br />-TS/SCI clearance <br /><br />-HS diploma or GED <br /><br />-8570 IAT II Certification, including Security+ <br /><br />Additional Qualifications:<br />-Knowledge of IP subnetting <br /><br />-Knowledge of the OSI model <br /><br />-CCNA or equivalent vendor networking certification preferred <br /><br />Clearance:<br />Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.<br /><br />We're an EOE that empowers our people-no matter their race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristic-to fearlessly drive change.
