About us

Level’s mission is to improve healthcare by offering a new way to find, manage, and pay for care. We’re starting this ambitious journey by tackling employer-funded dental insurance. We believe that if people have simple, easy-to-use products, they’ll be more engaged in their benefits and make better decisions around their care. The founding team at Level comes from companies that have simplified payments and insurance—like Square, Oscar Health, and Uber. We started in 2018 in New York City, and are backed by First Round, Homebrew, BoxGroup, and Precursor Ventures.

Your role

  • Advise on transactional, intellectual property, contractual, healthcare and financial system compliance and regulatory areas
  • Ensure Level data usage and management is in line with consumer protection and data privacy laws
  • Ensure the drafting and implementation of corporate and commercial transactions incorporates product and engineering requirements 
  • Develop a deep understanding of Level’s product and product roadmap in order to deliver clear insight as to the best path forward for development and growth


You have

  • 6+ years of legal experience in relevant areas of law
  • Extraordinary interpersonal skills and ability to provide sound, clear and succinct legal advice and analysis to product, engineering and business teams in verbal and written forms
  • The ability to think creatively, solve unexpected issues and work independently to meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize appropriately
  • Excellent interpersonal, writing and communication skills
  • Experience with HIPAA, ERISA, TPA law is a bonus
