Job Description
A highly reputable service company is seeking a dispatcher for their central station location. The dispatcher will be the liaison between the technicians and the customer service team providing updates on the status of jobs and allocating new jobs to technicians.
Hours will be Monday-Friday 8am-5pm

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and schedule fire protection repairs from our national clients with subcontractors throughout the United States.
  • Scheduling, tracking, and communicating with both the sub and the customer
  • Manage job progress, typing estimates, locating and hiring new contractors when necessary
  • Both written and verbal business to business correspondence
  • Negotiating rates with suppliers (not a sales position)

Skills:

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in one of the following areas: Customer Service (Business to Business), Call Center Dispatcher, Project Management, Fire Sprinkler, Fire Extinguisher, Backflow, Hood Systems, Fire Alarm or have worked for a Service Company
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with operational staff, customer service staff and management
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer oriented -Detail orientated and organized
  • Ability to maintain professional composure when under pressure
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Required ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently
  • Strong typing skills
  • Looking for 40+ WPM
  • Experience in MS office, Word, Excel & Outlook
