For information about our bureau go to: http: www.bsee.gov/ <br /><br />Security Clearance Required: A Public Trust Background Investigation will be required for this position if selected and hired. <br /><br />Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br />This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE), Office of Administration, Acquisition Management Division, Acquisition Systems & Human Capital Branch (ASHCB), in Sterling, VA. The ASHCB provides a wide range of acquisition services for BSEE and the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM). These services include management of acquisition workforce certification programs, the small business program, and the purchase card program, as well as contract closeout assistance. <br /><br /><strong>At the full performance level (GS-12) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:</strong><br /> <li>Assists the Division in the execution of responsibilities by performing a variety of specialized duties such as planning meetings and activities, preparation of agenda items, preparing, editing and compiling a variety of technical, management and administrative correspondence, reports, briefings and reviews which contain narrative and statistical information, data and analysis.</li> <li>Prepares basic acquisition reports required by the Department in order to meet Federal, Departmental, Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Office of Management and Budget (OMB), or Bureau requirements.</li> <li>Serves as the Division's budget contact. Develops spreadsheets and databases as necessary to monitor, track and analyze the Division's expenditures. Assists in the planning of the yearly budget.</li> <li>Participates in and accomplishes a variety of assignments and special projects related to and in support of the Bureaus' programs.</li> <li>Assures all time-sensitive correspondence and data requests are disbursed, tracked, and followed-up with staff to meet deadlines.</li> <li>Assists in the preparation of contract completion statements for firm-fixed price contracts for Branch Chiefs' review and approval</li> <li>Manages the Division's property, records, timekeeping and other human capital systems, and travel programs, as well as orders and maintains office supplies.</li> <li>Processes incoming and outgoing materials such as mail, correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other forms of written communication.
