Overview

<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Support the Director of Communications, Marketing &amp; Special Events in establishing broad recognition of and attention to Ivymount Programs and activities</li>
<li>Assist with internal and external communications</li>
<li>Execute consistent messaging across Ivymount websites, social media, and external communications</li>
<li>Develop original web/print graphics and adaptations of student artwork for communications and marketing materials (e.g., posters, invitations, brochures, postcards, advertisements, and logos)</li>
<li>Brainstorm for compelling stories and creative narrations</li>
<li>Implement social media brand strategies, campaigns, and plans to build Ivymount awareness, including day-to day oversight to ensure brand consistency</li>
<li>Create, manage, and grow new and existing social networks (e.g., Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube)</li>
<li>Update/edit website content as assigned across all Ivymount websites</li>
<li>Schedule, film, and edit promotional and event recap videos for classes, programs, and events</li>
<li>Capture photos for special events and daily activities</li>
<li>Support with special events as assigned</li>
<li>Work outside of “normal” business hours during peak periods and during special events as required</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Requirements</strong></p>

<ul>
<li>Bachelor’s degree</li>
<li>Two or more years of experience in communications and marketing</li>
<li>Experience creating print and web materials using Adobe Creative Suite</li>
<li>Experience planning, shooting, and editing videos</li>
<li>Practical experience using a DSLR camera</li>
<li>Experience managing/editing website content</li>
<li>Excellent written and spoken communication skills</li>
<li>Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail</li>
<li>Ability to work both independently and as a team member</li>
<li>Ability to consistently meet tight deadlines</li>
<li>Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously</li>
<li>High comfort level with social media and technology</li>
<li>Respect for the dignity and potential of all students in a special education environment</li>
<li>Impeccable confidentiality in dealing with records of students and their families</li>
