Wells Fargo & Company, a diversified financial services company, is seeking a Capital Markets Attorney to join its Legal Department in New York. The individual selected will provide support to the Wells Fargo Securities prime brokerage and securities lending businesses. 

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of legal experience with a major law firm, securities regulatory agency or in-house law department; including 3+ years of representing firms in capital markets and investment banking activities
  • Active State Bar membership
  • 3+ years of brokerage or securities lending experience

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership
  • Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills
  • Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Project management experience

Other Desired Qualifications

  • Candidates should have federal and state securities law experience in addressing trading and sales issues
  • Experience with stock loan business and margin related issues preferred
  • Understanding of broker dealer regulatory issues
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks applicable to prime brokerage
  • Familiarity with Reg SHO
