Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.<br /><br />This position requires rotating shift work.<br /><br />Call back and emergency overtime are regular requirements of this position.<br /><br />Physical Demands: Physical effort is required to maneuver equipment in and out of specific locations while dismantling and reassembling. The work requires frequent carrying and setting-up of parts and equipment weighing up to 40 pounds. Occasionally may lift items weighing over 50 pounds with assistance. Hoists, holders, and pulleys are operated when removing units such as large compressors, condensers, and chillers. The work requires making repairs and installations from ladders, scaffolding, and platforms where the parts of systems worked on are frequently in hard-to-reach places; therefore, stooping stretching, bending, and kneeling are frequent and may be for long periods of time.<br /><br />Working Conditions: The incumbent works both inside and outside, sometimes in bad weather, on top of tall buildings, in drafty attic spaces, and in cramped areas with low overheads. Areas are noisy, dirty, dusty and greasy.
