Represents the agency in enforcement action litigation before the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and Department of Transportation (DOT) Office of Hearings/FAA Decisionmaker.

Provides legal advice and counsel to FAA management in enforcement matters. Provides legal advice to FAA management including high-level agency officials regarding matters within their area(s) of expertise. Provides review and analysis of complex and significant issues within the practice areas to ensure compliance with existing law and agency policies.

Reviews and analyzes enforcement investigative reports, and initiates and processes legal enforcement actions for progressively complex violations of statutory and regulatory safety requirements.

Conducts research and discovery and prepares motions, pre-trial memoranda of law, and post-trial briefs in enforcement proceedings. In certain cases, prepares and submits administrative appeal briefs. Assists the Department of Justice with FAA enforcement actions adjudicated in U.S. District Court.
