For more information please see: ACQDEMO <br /><br />This position is part of the Department of Defense.<br /> Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br />As a SUPERVISORY MANAGEMENT ANALYST some of your typical work assignments may include:<br /><br />- Coordinates the development and implementation of policy, guidelines, and processes required to maintain effective organizational operations, communication and exchange of information.- Continually assesses human resource utilization within Aegis BMD operations.<br /> – Identifies and conducts studies and analyses to determine the future course of activities to improve efficiency by identifying and proposing new organizational structures, realignment of functions and staffing levels.<br /> – Develops resource estimates, and determines resource allocations for the Aegis BMD.<br /> – Makes substantial program contributions and determines if existing programs effectively accomplish intended goals or if modifications are required to meet agency goals and procedures.<br /> – Provides quick-reaction analysis and support.<br /> – Develops issue papers, briefings and other high-level correspondence.<br /> – Establishes, promotes, fosters, and maintains relationships required to provide effective, technical liaison and integration among program functions across organizations within MDA and throughout the Program.<br /> – Serves on various Aegis BMD, MDA and NAVSEA management committees providing management and planning assistance regarding resources, operations, administration support, facilities and IT.<br /><br /><b>Travel Required</b><br /><br />Occasional travel – You may be expected to travel for this position.<br /><br />Supervisory status <br /> Yes <br /><br />Promotion Potential <br /> None <br /><br /></li> <b>Requirements</b><br /><br /><b>Conditions of Employment</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>Must be a US citizen</li> <li>Male born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service</li> <li>Resume and supporting documents received by 11:59PM EST will be considered</li> <li>Suitability for Federal employment determined by background investigation</li> <li>May be required to successfully complete a probationary period</li> <li>This is a Drug Testing designated position</li> <li>Work Schedule: Fulltime</li> <li>Overtime: Occasionally</li> <li>Tour of Duty: Flexible</li> <li>Relocation Incentive: Authorized (unless regulatory or statutory rules prevail)</li> <li>Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA): Exempt</li> <li>Financial Disclosure: Required</li> <li>Telework Eligibility: This position is situational telework eligible</li> <li>Selective Service Requirement: Please visit http: www.sss.gov for more information</li> <li>Must obtain/maintain Non-Critical Sensitive/Secret security clearance</li> <li>May be required to successfully complete a supervisory probationary period</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Qualifications</b><br /><br />You may qualify at the NH-04 if you fulfill the following qualifications:<br /><br />One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-03/GS-13 grade level in the Federal service: <ul> <li>Advanced knowledge of a wide range of HR concepts, practices, laws and policies to provide comprehensive HR management advisory/technical services.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience conducting in-depth analysis of organizational structures and program processes associated with management of complex research and development activities and acquisition programs consisting of multiple federal agencies, departments or organizations.</li> <li>Comprehensive knowledge of infrastructure (resources, operations, facilities, IT) requirements for multi-functional organizations.</li> </ul> Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
