<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br /><b>About the Position: </b>This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25 . This position is located at the 902D Military Intelligence Group, 310TH MI Battalion, CO A, Fort Meade, MD 20755.<br /><br />Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>Assess Cyber and information operations threats posed by foreign intelligence entities to information systems and computer networks; science and technology developments; critical assets and infrastructure; personnel operations, and missions.</li> <li>Maintain close liaison with counterparts in other Government agencies and ensure coordination with other analysts.</li> <li>Conducts research and threat analysis of foreign Intelligence, cyber information operations or technical threats, and their operations, capabilities.</li> <li>Serve as a General Military Intelligence Analyst and organizational expert in the organization for foreign cyber threats to Information Systems (IS) and networks.</li> <li>Present counterintelligence assessments and briefings, verbally and in writing, to agency staff and the intelligence community.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Travel Required</b><br /><br />Occasional travel – TDY Travel will be less than 25% of the work schedule.<br /><br />Supervisory status <br /> No <br /><br />Promotion Potential <br /> 13 <br /><br /></li> <b>Requirements</b><br /><br /><b>Conditions of Employment</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>Two year trial/probationary period may be required.</li> <li>In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.</li> <li>Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination with No Deception Indicated (NDI) on a pre-appointment and periodic basis.</li> <li>TDY Travel will be less than 25% of the work schedule.</li> <li>Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET security clearance based on a single scope background investigation with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information.</li> <li>Must be willing to work shifts within a 24/7 schedule.</li> <li>All INSCOM employees may be subject to extended TDY or worldwide deployments during crisis situations to perform mission essential functions as determined by management.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Qualifications</b><br /><br /><strong>Who May Apply:</strong><br /> Only applicants who meet one of the employment authority categories below are eligible to apply for this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience with performing counterintelligence research, analysis, and/or operations related to foreign cyber threat; and/or all-source Intelligence. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12).<br /><br />Progressively responsible experience is that which has included intelligence-related research, analysis, collections and /or operations. This experience should have included intelligence analysis and/or production, intelligence collection and/or operations, counterintelligence, or threat support directly related to the position to be filled.
