<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br /><strong>About the Position:</strong> Serves as a Supply Technician responsible for coordination of numerous post award functions for a variety of complex and diversified medical and non-medical and service acquisitions. Serves as a government purchase cardholder. The work consist primarily of communicating via telephone to customers and vendors, electronic media , in person and via written correspondence. Work is performed primarily in a climate controlled, well lighted office setting.<br /> Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>Process documentation receipts, maintains issue and local stock records, prepares standard reports such as price variance between actual and estimated costs, performs related receipt, storage, control, issue functions for expendable materiel.</li> <li>Analyze and fill material requirements for assigned areas within the MTF to include planning and initiating actions to obtain material, determine and set stock levels, and monitor activity usage.</li> <li>Receive and screen lists and other documents specifying supplies or materials needed for work operations, and collates and assembles lists of material and equipment parts needed for the acquisition plan.</li> <li>Uses a variety of electronic data processing systems, acquisition systems, financial systems, and personnel verification systems to perform daily supply operations.</li> <li>Search catalogs, records, and other automated data sources to obtain or correct manufacture part number or to find authorized substitutes for the required materiel request.</li> <li>Perform procurement functions in accordance with laws and regulations as established in Federal acquisition regulation, Defense Federal Acquisition regulation, and all other established regulations.</li> <li>Contact customers, supply organizations, transportation units, and others to obtain material status information.</li> <li>Use automated systems to research records, conduct data input, and perform data corrections.</li> <li>Ensure that all material is properly receipted into the automated system and that proper electronic data files are sent for payment.</li> <li>Initiate, prepare, edit, and process requisitions to stock, customer support areas, and appropriate supply organizations.</li> <li>Stay abreast of any changes to laws and regulations effecting procurement and disseminates information to supply personnel.</li> <li>Maintain accounting and reporting systems for nonexpendable property and performs standardized property management control processes.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Travel Required</b><br /><br />Not required<br /><br />Supervisory status <br /> No <br /><br />Promotion Potential <br /> 7 <br /><br /></li> <b>Requirements</b><br /><br /><b>Conditions of Employment</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Tier 3 security investigation or access for the duration of employment.
