<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br /><b>About the Position: </b>This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25 . This position is with the Headquarters, Department of the Army, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G-2, located at the Pentagon, Alexandria, VA.<br /><br />Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>Serve as a Force Manager performing a wide range of challenging duties related to military intelligence force structure development.</li> <li>Plan, direct, manage and coordinate manpower management activities, integrating military and civilian manpower and financial management systems.</li> <li>Coordinate the Army intelligence position on force structure, stationing, and Military Construction actions with the Joint and Army Staffs, Army Commands, Army Service Component Commands, and Intelligence and Security Command.</li> <li>Serve as the principal DCS, G-2 coordinator for Military Intelligence force structure development by overseeing and coordinating Army intelligence planning, analysis, documenting, and review activities.</li> <li>Initiate and coordinate the full scope of force management actions that include manpower, resourcing, budget analysis, stationing and facility review.</li> <li>Develop, coordinate, defend, and integrate force structure issues and decisions during Army force structure and the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution processes.</li> <li>Serve as the Action Officer on a broad range of projects with responsibility for all necessary actions, including fact-gathering, analysis, development of conclusions, and preparation of recommendations.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Travel Required</b><br /><br />Occasional travel – Temporary Duty Travel may consist of 10% for the performance of duty and training.<br /><br />Supervisory status <br /> No <br /><br />Promotion Potential <br /> None <br /><br /></li> <b>Requirements</b><br /><br /><b>Conditions of Employment</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.</li> <li>Two year trial/probationary period may be required.</li> <li>In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.</li> <li>Temporary Duty Travel may consist of 10% for the performance of duty and training.</li> <li>Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance with eligibility for sensitive compartmented information (SCI).</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Qualifications</b><br /><br /><strong>Who May Apply:</strong><br /> Only applicants who meet one of the employment authority categories below are eligible to apply for this job.
