If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position. After entrance on duty, failure to successfully meet the background investigation and favorable adjudication requirements may be grounds for termination.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Qualifications</b><br /><br />You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement:<br /><br />You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-7 grade level in the Federal service.<br /><br /><strong>Specialized experience for this position includes:</strong> writing opinions, legal memoranda, litigation reports, discovery requests, and affidavits; drafting settlement agreements; assisting in the preparation of paperwork necessary for processing and completion of the case; assisting the attorney in the presentation of the case; conducting information collection and researching statutes and precedents. <br /><br />You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows:<br /><br /><strong>GS:09:</strong> Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.<br /><br />OR<br /><br />You may qualify by a combination of experience and education.
