Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves (1) Providing advisory support to customers on a Human Resources (HR) systems; (2) Providing technical advice on business requirements for recommended enhancements or upgrades; (3) Performing data analysis involving HR systems project matters; and (4) Establishing study methods/techniques to determine current and future human resources system-related needs. <br /><br /><b>Education</b><br /><br />There is no educational substitution for the GS-13 level. <br /><br /><b>Additional information</b><br /><br /><strong>Work Schedule:</strong> Regular office hours; Alternate work schedules are available<br /><br /><strong>Title/PD#: </strong>Human Resource Specialist GS – 13; PD 31441A<br /><br /><strong>Promotion Potential:</strong> The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.<br /><br /><strong>Time-in-grade: </strong>Applicants who are/were federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements. For a GS-13 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-12 level. To support your claim of time in grade, you must submit your most recent appointment, promotion, or within grade increase SF-50 (not an award or general adjustment SF-50).
