POSITION SUMMARY:

Alegeus seeks a Senior Counsel to join our dedicated, passionate team of professionals.  The Senior Counsel will report to the General Counsel and be responsible for helping our company succeed by supporting growth and mitigating risks.

Responsibilities

MISSION:

Valued strategic and day-to-day partner to all areas of company.  Provide high quality, practical advice to drive innovation, support high-growth, and protect business in dynamic fields of healthcare, finance, and technology.  

 

OUTCOMES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work directly with business stakeholders to draft, negotiate, and close client and vendor contracts
  • Lead new contract management tool implementation
  • Privacy Officer; lead compliance, including HIPAA and Gramm-Leach-Bliley
  • Subject matter expert for consumer directed account (FSA/HRA/HSA) compliance
  • Drive business with balanced risk approach
  • Increasing responsibility in small legal department

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  • J.D. degree from accredited law school
  • Admission to bar, preferably Massachusetts
  • 5 – 10 years legal experience with increasing responsibility and autonomy  
  • Healthcare, Finance, FinTech, or Payments experience
  • Privacy compliance experience
  • Consumer benefit accounts (FSA/HRA/HSAs) experience a plus
