(Military Spouse Preference (MSP) and Involuntarily Separated Military Preference (ISMP) eligible candidates are included in the area of consideration.)<br /><br />This position is located at Outdoor Recreation Range Facility.<br /><br />To better expedite the hiring process, we recommend including full contact information (name, address, phone number, email, etc.) for professional and personal references on your resume.<br /> Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br />The duties of this position include but are not limited to the following: <ul> <li>Executes range facility opening, closing and operating procedures in accordance with installation, local and federal laws.</li> <li>Instructs patrons on range safety practices, and provides general firearm and marksmanship information.</li> <li>Ensures proper handling storage, accountability, inventory of ammunition, and vault security.</li> <li>Issues ammunition and range related accessories to customers.</li> <li>Conducts facility and range maintenance</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Travel Required</b><br /><br />Not required<br /><br />Supervisory status <br /> No <br /><br />Promotion Potential <br /> 2 <br /><br /></li> <b>Requirements</b><br /><br /><b>Conditions of Employment</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required</li> <li>Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position</li> <li>A one year probationary period may be required</li> <li>Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check</li> <li>Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty</li> <li>Individual must be able to lift up to 45 pounds without assistance and heavier loads with assistance.</li> <li>Must meet age restrictions (minimum 21 years of age) for the handling of firearms.</li> <li>This is a Testing Designated Position (TDP) as required by the Army Regulation 600-85. A negative drug test is required prior to appointment and incumbent will be subject to subsequent random drug testing as required.</li> <li>Incumbent must be able to work varying shifts to include days, nights, weekends, holidays and as needed for special events.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Qualifications</b><br /><br />The qualification requirements of this position are: <ul> <li>Must have experience with firing range operations and firearm safety</li> <li>Must possess work experience which involved dealing with the general public</li> <li>Must be able to obtain current Installation Range Certification Card, National Rifle Association (NRA) Range Safety Officer Certification, or equivalent certification within 60 days of entrance on duty.</li> </ul> <br /> *** The above mentioned qualifications must be verifiable in your resume.
