<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br /><b>About the Position: </b>This position is located within the office of the Inspector General located at the Regional Health Command – Atlantic, RHC-A, the nation's premier military system for health. Additional information about transcripts is in this document .<br /><br /><strong>Specialized Experience</strong>: One year of specialized experience which reflects demonstrated experience as an Inspector General (IG). This experience includes providing staff assistance in response to requests for or as a result of command directives pertaining to varied management problems; Measuring efficiency and effectiveness of command/organization activities to identify areas of fraud, waste and abuse; Presenting reports to all management levels in the inspected activity; AND Performing Staff Assistance Visits (SAVs) to validate effectiveness and efficiency of program operations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).<br /><br />It is highly preferred that the applicant have at least two years of specialized experience. It is highly desirable but is not required.<br /><br />The best candidates may be a graduate of Civilian Education System (CES) basic, intermediate, and advanced courses or their military equivalents and have an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university.
