<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />You will serve as a Security Specialist in the Hopper Information Services Center (ISC), N63 Department of HOPPER INFORMATION SERVICES CENTER.<br /><br />All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.<br /> Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>You will provide solutions to improve services to users and user organizations through formal and informal communications, policy guidance, and training.</li> <li>You will identify, evaluate, and prioritize customer issues and complaints to ensure inquiries are successfully remedied.</li> <li>You will provide applicable COMSEC documentation and templates upon request to customers.</li> <li>You will serve as a liaison across the Intelligence Community, the Department of Defense and the Department of the Navy.</li> <li>You will assist in preparing and conducting semi-annual and special occasion COMSEC account inventories and KMI spot-checks.</li> <li>You will resolve non-routine COMSEC problems.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Travel Required</b><br /><br />50% or less – You may be expected to travel for this position.<br /><br />Supervisory status <br /> No <br /><br />Promotion Potential <br /> 11 <br /><br /></li> <b>Requirements</b><br /><br /><b>Conditions of Employment</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>Must be a US Citizen.</li> <li>Must be determined suitable for federal employment.</li> <li>Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.</li> <li>New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Qualifications</b><br /><br />Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
