<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />Click on "Learn more about this agency" button below for<strong> IMPORTANT </strong>additional information.<br /><br />The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a staff analyst to plan, organize, review, and evaluate Air Force program integration in participation with Sensitive Activities within DoD.<br /><br />Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>Responsible for prompt accurate review and coordination of unique and highly sensitive proposals requiring a vast knowledge of Air Force, DoD, Federal and nonfederal organizations, policies, and processes.</li> <li>Ensures that the detailed coordination for Sensitive Activities does not disclose National Security intent, capabilities, or vulnerabilities and be prepared to present well-organized conceptual resolutions to superiors and the Division Chief.</li> <li>Directly responsible to Division Chief for daily mgmt of assigned portfolio; plans, organizes/directs the activities of assigned SAO portfolio, ensuring that work complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.</li> <li>Represents the SAO at Air Force, government organizations and other stakeholders meetings, working groups, conferences, etc.</li> <li>As Sr Staff Analyst/SME, directs/organizes portfolio analytical input/prepares/presents high level briefings of conclusions, many being highly subjective and not readily susceptible to verification until actual operational situations are encountered.</li> <li>Exercises personnel management responsibilities.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Travel Required</b><br /><br />Occasional travel – You may be expected to travel for this position.<br /><br />Supervisory status <br /> No <br /><br />Promotion Potential <br /> 14 <br /><br /></li> <b>Requirements</b><br /><br /><b>Conditions of Employment</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>U.S. Citizenship Required</li> <li>All new DCIPS employees are required to complete a two-year DCIPS trial period.</li> <li>Must be able to obtain and retain a Special Sensitive TOP SECRET (TS) security clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and may be subject to polygraph examination. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.</li> <li>PCS expenses -if authorized- will be paid IAW JTR and Air Force Regulations. Examples of creditable experience include: Knowledge of DoD, National Security, and AF sensitive activities, policies, associated legislation, and directives to plan and develop relationships or guidance for application of complex procedures and to handle, protect, and maintain control of classified material and media; and Knowledge and experience working with multiple stakeholders; strong understanding of program evaluation methods including an understanding of the need to be responsive to agency requests for data; detail-oriented and ability to keep accurate, well organized record; and experience evaluating performance and analyzing data/metrics, to develop collaborative relationships and manage project schedules and deadlines that run simultaneously; and Knowledge of the substantive nature of agency programs and activities; analytical and evaluative methods and techniques for assessing program development or execution and improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency, to include basic budgetary and financial management principles and techniques as they relate to long range planning of programs and objectives. Mastery of knowledge of DoD, National Security, and AF sensitive activities, policies, associated legislation, and directives to plan and develop relationships or guidance for application of complex procedures and to handle, protect, and maintain control of classified material and media.<br /><br />2. Extensive knowledge and experience working with multiple stakeholders; strong understanding of program evaluation methods including an understanding of the need to be responsive to agency requests for data; detail-oriented and ability to keep accurate, well organized record; and experience evaluating performance and analyzing data/metrics, to develop collaborative relationships and manage project schedules and deadlines that run simultaneously.<br /><br />3. Knowledge of: the substantive nature of agency programs and activities; analytical and evaluative methods and techniques for assessing program development or execution and improving organizational effectiveness and efficiency, to include basic budgetary and financial management principles and techniques as they relate to long range planning of programs and objectives.<br /><br />4. Skill using various methodologies and sources, incumbent conducts qualitative and quantitative research by obtaining recent and relevant data using various sources (i.e. interview subjects, scan databases and internet), while leveraging customer insights and also seeking out peer-reviewed writings (i.e. articles, lesson learned, etc.). Incumbent will analyze or interpret data collected to present findings and recommendations, with an orientation toward action-oriented decision-making, in briefings and reports for senior agency level administrators and to other external organizations.<br /><br />5. Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong vocabulary and expertise in English usage; comfort with multiple and often complex writing assignments, styles and disciplines to effectively articulate, present and explain writing choices and to produce work quickly with attention to detail and strength in observing and managing deadlines.<br /><br />6. Ability to demonstrate use of logic in structuring content and creative team strategic thinking, while being flexible to work carefully and quickly to meet program demands; see and think strategically (i.e. big picture) and be able to relate findings to senior agency level administrators and to other external organizations.<br /><br /><strong>PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE</strong>: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work.
