<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />The incumbent of this position will serve as an Administrative Assistant within the Office of Human Resources providing administrative support to the Director of Human Resources and the Deputy Director of Human Resources. In this capacity, the incumbent is responsible for the administrative and implementation of a variety of important and special assignments.<br /><br />More than the number of positions listed may be filled through this vacancy announcement.<br /> Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br />As a Administrative Assistant, you will: <ul> <li>Maintain the Director of Human Resources and Deputy Director of Human Resources' daily calendar, schedule meetings and appointments, accept or decline invitations and make changes based on personal knowledge of the Directors' schedules.</li> <li>Review outgoing correspondence and reports for proper format, accuracy, and all coordination of facts in accordance with established policy. </li> <li>Arrange travel and prepares all travel related documents for the Director and the Deputy Director.</li> <li>Oversee the needs of OHR to include planning, developing, coordinating, tracking and monitoring the operating budget. This must include all of the experience below: <li>Managing the office's administrative functions; </li> <li>Preparing, reviewing, or modifying documents, letters, or memoranda;</li> <li>Utilizing automated systems to prepare presentations or reports; and</li> <li>Monitoring and tracking budgets.</li> <br />OR<br /><br /><strong>EDUCATION: </strong>Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have a Masters Degree from an accredited university related to the duties of the position, such as Business Administration/Management, Human Resources.<br /><br />OR<br /><br /><strong>COMBINATION</strong>: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level. You must have a combination of specialized experience and education beyond 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work, or LL.B. or J.D., if related.<br /><br /><strong>NOTE:</strong> One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school attended has determined to represent 1 year of full-time study. If that information cannot be obtained from the school, 18 semester hours should be considered as satisfying the 1 year of full-time study requirement.
