Since May of 1864, Arlington National Cemetery has served as the nation's premier military cemetery and shrine honoring those men and women who served in the Armed Forces.<br /><br /><strong>**This is a direct hire solicitation**</strong><br /> Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>Responsible for the planning, directing, and management of a large scale unclassified network, outlaying network facilities, and associated Information Technology (IT) services/activities.</li> <li>Involved with tier I and tier II core network infrastructures, telecommunications and Wireless Local Area Network services, inside plant cable management, network systems analysis and design, and hardware/software product evaluation.</li> <li>Analyze network, communications, and related operating systems from various sources such as design centers and commercial vendors and ensures that an inventory of all network hardware and software is maintained.</li> <li>Advise on the implementation of new network and telecommunication system hardware and software and develops operating procedures.</li> <li>Monitor the ongoing operation of a complex network environment with a large number of users at Arlington National Cemetery and ensures corrective actions are taken to restore operational service within time parameters of ANC disaster recovery plans.</li> <li>Runs network scans in Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Host Based Security System (HBSS) as-well-as applies remediation to vulnerabilities (i.e. patching, STIG application, etc.).</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Travel Required</b><br /><br />Occasional travel – You may be expected to travel for this position.<br /><br />Supervisory status <br /> No <br /><br />Promotion Potential <br /> 13 <br /><br /></li> <b>Requirements</b><br /><br /><b>Conditions of Employment</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.</li> <li>Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.</li> <li>Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement.</li> <li>Willing to become Project Management Professional (PMP) certified within 12 months of employment.</li> <li>The incumbent must pass a drug test.</li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Qualifications</b><br /><br /><strong>Who May Apply: US Citizens</strong><br /><br />In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized experience is defined as: running network scans to detect vulnerabilities; installing new software releases on workstation computer systems; evaluating performance of newly installed systems; leading network and/or operating systems projects.
