<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />NIST is seeking highly skilled and dedicated administrative professionals to join our Clerical Staffing Program (CSP). The CSP provides short-term administrative support to a variety of fast paced and dynamic organizations within NIST. <br /><br /><strong> This vacancy will close at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time on the date the first 200 applications are received or July 11, 2019, whichever comes first. </strong><br /><br />Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br />This position serves in NIST's Clerical Staffing Program (CSP) and provides temporary administrative and clerical support to a variety of offices within NIST.<br /><br />As an Administrative Support Assistant in the CSP, you will: <br /><br />* manage calendars<br />* coordinate and schedule meetings <br />* arrange travel<br />* provide time and attendance support<br />* screen incoming mail, meeting requests, telephone calls, and visitors<br />* plan and prepare for conferences/events<br />* maintain and organize documents and files<br />* develop, review, and editing correspondence <br /><br />The work schedule for this position is intermittent. This means that the individual selected will not have a set work schedule, but will be available on an as-needed basis to supplement the staff in handling fluctuating demands and peak workloads of the organization. Employees on an intermittent schedule are paid for the number of hours they work and there is no guarantee of a total number of hours of work. There is also no guarantee that work will be available on a regular basis. However, once selected, the incumbent is expected to report for assignments when scheduled. <br /><br />An employee working an intermittent work schedule may be eligible for health insurance. We cannot guarantee eligibility for health insurance coverage for intermittent employees.
