<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) manages the exploration and development of the nation's offshore resources. It seeks to appropriately balance economic development, energy independence, and environmental protection through oil and gas leases, renewable energy development and environmental reviews and studies. For information about our bureau go to: http: www.boem.gov/ <br /><br /><strong>This vacancy may be used to fill additional positions as vacancies become available.</strong> <br /><br />Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br />This position is located within the Department of the Interior, Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), Office of Budget and Program Coordination (OBPC) in the BOEM Program Coordination Unit in Sterling Virginia or virtual location determined by the selectee's location.<br /><br />OBPC is responsible for fiscal, administrative, and IT management across BOEM. The Program Coordination office is responsible for overseeing coordination with administrative service providers in the management of BOEM's administrative services, and it is the point of contact for any service-related questions. The mission of the Program Coordination team is to ensure employees at all levels of BOEM have the administrative resources and relationships necessary to achieve the purpose of their positions effectively.<br /><br />The incumbent provides leadership, guidance, and advice in all areas of human capital, employee engagement, and talent development in relation to the duties listed below.<br /><br /><strong>At the full performance level (GS-13) the major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:</strong><br /> <li>Serves as an advisor to Bureau leadership and staff on major talent, human capital, and employee engagement initiatives. Establishes program goals and objectives. Provides program oversight, evaluates program effectiveness in meeting requirements, and recommends changes to programs as needed.</li> <li>Plans and conducts reviews and evaluations of program offerings.
