Please click here for more information on OPM's Authorization of Direct Hire authority"<br /><br /><b>Duties for the Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), GS-2210-15 include but not limited to: </b> <ul> <li>Lead and oversee delivery of customer support services including hardware and software asset management, call center/service desk and desk-side support operations, printing services, email operations, operational support for voice and data services, Data Center operations and oversight of the change management process for the entire Deputy Chief Information Officer for Operations (DCIO-OPS) production environment. </li> <li>Monitor the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) and DCIO-OPS Cyber Security program and is responsible for implementing Federal Information Security Management Act and Information System Security and Privacy requirements for the production operating environment. </li> <li>Advise the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) managers in selecting and implementing safeguards that minimize the risk from malicious software and intrusions. </li> <li>Lead and provide managerial oversight for troubleshooting and problem isolation for service outages and interruptions. Oral Communication – Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.<br /><br />4. Problem Solving – Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.<br /> <b>NOTE: Evidence of IT-related experience for the above competencies must be clearly specified in your resume. </b><br /><br /><b>AND</b><br /><br /><strong>SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE</strong>: Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent providing leadership and oversight on policy and program implementation of Federal cyber security requirements such as the Federal Information Security Management Act and threat detection and response for production information technology (IT) operations; providing leadership and oversight for a hardware and software lifecycle asset management program; providing leadership and oversight for a 24-hour support services program comprised of a customer call center, a remote service desk, and desk side/in-person support services; providing leadership and oversight for production IT operations that include data center operations, organizational email, and voice/data services; providing leadership and oversight of configuration management and change control program for a large production IT environment; providing oversight of multiple IT projects; developing IT performance metrics/tools and internal management controls or methods to access the effectiveness of IT systems and to evaluate program and project goals for production operations; developing and managing large IT budgets and human resources to support all aspects of production operations. <br /><br /><b>NOTE: Evidence of specialized experience must be clearly specified in your resume.</b><br /><br />Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through national Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; community; student; social).
