Software QA Testing Coordinator

Job Summary:

Testing Coordinator drives implementation of testing efforts for a single project. The project includes the migration and implementation of scheduling and compensation software.

Location:

Lafayette, LA with potential travel to other satellite offices.

Responsibilities:

Evaluates and update User Stories within the project.

Writes test cases based on Acceptance Criteria of User Stories.

Review and compose testing results and include additional analysis for their inclusion in defect tracking system(s). This includes test samples, charts, or other ways to show defect behavior.

Make decisions related to defect classification, severity, and other assignments.

Independently troubleshoot feedback of defects and determine if issues are software implementation, network, application related, or caused by other reason.

Ensure adherence to requirements documents, product specifications, user manuals, and end user expectations.

Plans and manages assignments, progress and evaluates results.

Attend testing and report of test results and issues as required by Project Manager.

Evaluate test data, assess risks, and develop test result summaries for leadership briefings.

Work with Product Managers, SMEs and vendor to understand interfaces and address and resolve application and/or integration issues.

Work collaboratively with appropriate Project Team members (internal and vendors).

Any other duties deemed necessary by management.

High level of critical thinking and reasoning skills.

Qualifications:

BA Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Two year of job-related Quality Assurance/Testing experience or data analysis.

Knowledge of defect life cycle, defect management tools and procedures preferred.

Healthcare or Scheduling Software experience a plus.
