We are located in 15 states throughout the U.S. Please visit our website at http: www.ig.energy.gov / .<br /><br />Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br />As an Information Technology (IT) Specialist for Management and Administration, you will be responsible for providing a variety of IT services to the Office of Inspector General (OIG) workforce, predominately in the areas of systems analysis, database management and Internet support. The incumbent independently works with OIG staff to develop user requirements and write programs to fulfill these requirements. Partner with other IT Specialists for purposes of developing and administering the OIG systems used to store and retrieve data and develop standards for handling of data. Provide expert authoritative advice and guidance on managing the OIG websites and managing the OIG homepage. Serve as the IT Security Officer for the OIG. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position being filled. To qualify for the GS-12 grade level, you must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level. To qualify for the GS-13 grade level, you must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 grade level. <br /><br />Examples of specialized experience include: <br /><br />Working with customers to assess their needs, providing information or assistance and resolving their problems. Ensuring proper implementation and adherence to IT security policies. Evaluating and recommending hardware/software changes. Developing and implementing web design features.
