<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.<br /> Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br />As a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK) at the GS-2210-15 some of your typical work assignments may include: <ul> <li>Networking skills/knowledge to successfully supervise military & civilian government IT personnel (IT Specialists, Computer Engineers, Computer Scientist, & Communications Specialists) and provide technical guidance to highly-technical support contractors performing requirements analysis, solutions development, and design for new/upgraded IT solutions for DTRA's mission IT environments.</li> <li>Identifies, recommends, and transitions appropriate IT services and capabilities to cloud providers or the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) for Common Use IT or related services. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service: <ul> <li>Supervising and leading personnel, teams, and subordinate supervisors in working complex Information Technology (IT) network, systems and service design and implementation initiatives or projects. </li> <li>Experience in the detailed designing and implementing IT networks, systems, and new capabilities, and developing and defending/acquiring budget/resource requirements for IT networks, systems, and new capabilities.</li> <li>Experience as a technical expert in modern and state-of-the-art IT capabilities and solutions with the capability for providing oral presentations to large technical and non-technical audiences and developing written products for technical and non-technical audiences at the senior or executive level.</li> </ul> <br /> Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). The incumbent is required to become certified, Level II in the applicable career field within 24 months, unless a position requirements waiver is approved to extend the 24 months.
