Please refer to that announcement for details on open period, eligibility, and how to apply.<br /><br />As a Supply Management Officer, you will:<br /><br />-Direct and coordinate short, mid, and long term capacity planning to optimize performance through cycle time improvements, site operational performance, and inventory investment by utilizing operational reports and plans, capital budget proposals, new equipment capabilities, work schedules, and planned requirements. to include scheduling for Change Control Board (CCB) studies, verifications and validations for the different levels, and unscheduled changes to the yearly currency order. <br /><br />-Conduct complex studies of existing facilities, equipment, and inventory requirements to determine the effectiveness of the supply chain and provides Bureau-wide recommendations to lead change in support of operational efficiencies, improve supply and inventory management functions, reduce costs, and streamline processes to support lean manufacturing and other major initiatives.<br /><br />-Provide leadership and coordination to a large, diverse group of Bureau personnel, suppliers, stakeholders, customers, staff, and consultants in managing the supply chain management process.<br /><br /><b>Travel Required</b><br /><br />Occasional travel – 1-5 times per year.<br /><br />Supervisory status <br /> Yes <br /><br />Promotion Potential <br /> 15 <br /><br /></li> <b>Requirements</b><br /><br /><b>Conditions of Employment</b><br /><br /><ul> <li>Must be U.S. Citizen or U.S. National</li> </ul> <br /><br />The experience may have been gained in either the public or private sector or volunteer service . Therefore it is imperative that applicants exercise candor and honesty when answering background questionnaires, especially as it relates to arrest, employment, education, finances, illegal drug use, and/or other criminal history. <strong>Falsification discovered in security documents or during the background investigation process may result in an immediate negative suitability determination or immediate revocation of your interim clearance (if applicable).</strong><br /><br /><b>Qualifications</b><br /><br />You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. <br /><br /><strong>Specialized experience: </strong>For the GS-15, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-14grade level in the Federal service.
