This attorney will be based in our headquarters in San Jose, CA and will be working on managing a variety of copyright and advertising matters with an emphasis on contests, sweepstakes and promotions, and drafting related contracts, such as promotional, advertising/agency and event agreements. The candidate will be working closely with the Trademark and Advertising team; trademark experience a plus, but not required. The successful candidate must have a JD from an accredited law and have four to six years’ experience in advising clients on copyright and advertising issues as well as experience drafting rules for contests, sweepstakes and promotions, and related agreements. Specific expertise in contest, sweepstakes and promotions is a requirement. Experience working with cloud-based service companies and in-house experience is valued. The successful candidate must be prepared to work in a team environment, provide counsel to internal clients, and assist with a variety of copyright and advertising issues. Organization and project management skills are also required, along with strong communication and collaboration skills. Must have can-do attitude, be a strategic, long-term thinker, and be able to provide solutions that balance legal and business concerns.
