Overview

Network Engineer, Mid<br />Key Role:<br /><br />Manage and operate communications and internal networks. Install new software, administer security procedures, ensure system back-ups, and monitor and make recommendations to improve network performance. Apply basic principles, theories, and concepts to job assignments. Solve a diverse range of complex problems, working with limited direction. Interface regularly with internal and external customers and make significant contributions to department goals and planning efforts.<br /><br />Basic Qualifications:<br /><br />-Experience with installing, configuring, and maintaining network and Windows environments<br />-Experience with Cisco networking devices and technologies, including switches, routers, OSPF, and VLANs<br />-Experience with configuring systems to user environments<br />-Knowledge of routing protocols, including RIP, EIGRP, MPLS, BGP, and OSPF<br />-Knowledge of PKI implementation, including X.509 certificates and certificate authorities<br />-Secret clearance<br />-BA or BS degree<br />-CCNA or JNCIA Certification<br /><br />Additional Qualifications:<br /><br />-Experience with DoD programs and initiatives<br />-Experience with configuring and troubleshooting SSL and IPSec VPNs<br />-Experience in analyzing network traffic with Wireshark or TCPDump<br />-Experience with working in classified spaces to implement network solutions<br />-Experience with implementing certificate-based encryption on network devices<br />-Knowledge of VLAN design schemes for network separation<br />-Ability to depict network diagrams accurately using Microsoft Visio<br />-Ability to initiate, manage, execute, and report tasks independently, as identified<br />-Ability to communicate complex network principles and designs to clients<br />-CCNP Certification preferred<br /><br />Clearance:<br /><br />Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.<br /><br />We're an EOE that empowers our people-no matter their race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristic-to fearlessly drive change. <br /><br />CMD
