<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />The incumbent serves as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Acquisition Management and Senior Procurement Executive (SPE) for the Department of Education with responsibility for providing executive leadership over all phases of the Department's acquisition and procurement programs and activities.<br /><br />This vacancy will assist in filling current vacancies as well as succession planning for future vacancies.<br /><br />Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br />The incumbent serves as principal advisor to the Chief Financial Officer acting in the delegated role of Chief Acquisition Officer (CAO) and provides expert advice regarding the implementation of acquisition laws, regulations, and related requirements issued by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) and others.
