<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />This position is part of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.<br /><br />Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br />As a INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST, GG-0132-14, your typical work assignments may include the following under supervision: <ul> <li>Initiates projects, and plans, organizes, and conducts analysis of narrowly defined and interrelated areas of intelligence issues pertaining to WMD and terrorist threats to US and its allies, and supports the development of plans based on intelligence threat assessments supporting CWMD-T.</li> <li>Evaluates the overall effectiveness and adequacy of intelligence operations, recognizing and responding to collection/production related issues, developments and trends that impact DTRA and US Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) missions and ensuring fulfillment of all requirements submitted to DTRA or USSOCOM personnel and elements.</li> <li>Leads and participates in interdisciplinary teams in the analysis of political, economic, social, cultural, physical, geographical, scientific, military, or terrorist activities and trends in foreign and domestic areas.</li> <li>Insures DTRA and USSOCOM involvement and participation with the National Counterterrorism Center, Defense Intelligence Agency, and various committees within the Intelligence Community (IC), and coordinates with high-level government offices and agencies to ensure analyses and responses are current and validated.</li> <li>Maintains extensive liaison and coordinates closely with the Intelligence Community (IC). Represents DTRA and USSOCOM at IC meetings and working groups to further the goals of intelligence requirements support to DTRA</li> <li>Work is reviewed only for potential influence on broad agency policy objectives and program goals. The previous work experience must clearly demonstrate the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.<br /><br />Specialized experience required for this position is: <li>Leading, managing, or overseeing complex and diverse Research Development IT and data analytic efforts.
