<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration,Communications and Marketing Division. As a Digital Asset Management Specialist, you will be performing a range of duties associated with managing and providing customer service for NARA's digital audio-visual assets.<br /> Learn more about this agency <br /><br /><b>Responsibilities</b><br /><br />As a Digital Asset Management Specialist, you will: <ul> <li>Provide administrative oversight of an agency-wide digital audio-visual asset management system (ADAMS, if available). </li> <li>Create an agency-wide community of audio-visual digital asset points of contact (DAPOC) from each NARA Office.</li> <li>Advise and train DAPOCs and other designated staff in the responsibility and use of an agency digital asset management system, including asset ingest and retrieval, at the office and individual employee levels.</li> <li>Receive and maintain all official agency (including work produced through GPO/GPO contactors) audio, video, still image, and graphic design records, not otherwise assigned to a DAPOC or ingested into the system, and prepares them for ingest and retrieval from the ADAMS.</li> <li>Produce and distribute reminders to DAPOCs once each quarter calling for entry of any un-submitted visual assets in compliance with applicable policies and laws. </li> </ul> <br /><br /><b>Travel Required</b><br /><br />Occasional travel – You may be expected to occasionally travel for this position.<br /><br />Supervisory status <br /> No <br /><br />Promotion Potential <br /> 12 <br /><br /></li> <b>Requirements</b><br /><br /><b>Conditions of Employment</b><br /><br /><ul> </ul> <br /><br />The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service . One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized experience is defined as experience:<br /><br />1. Utilizing electronic asset management systems in order to optimize digital asset workflows.; AND<br /> 2. Managing, organizing, tracking, storing and retrieving digital assets such as graphic design files, digital images, video and/or audio files.; AND<br /> 3.
