Currently seeking a System Engineer to provide acquisition and in-service support for the U.S. Navy's Tactical Airborne Moving Map Capability team.<br /><br /><strong> Essential Job Functions:</strong><br /><br />Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test or evaluate military weapons systems.<br /><br />Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.<br /><br />Applies engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.<br /><br />Advise the government customer on engineering solutions for the next generation mission computer following NAVAIR Systems Engineering and Technical Review (SETR) processes.<br /><br />Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems.<br /><br />Make recommendations to the government for setting technical hardware and software requirements that will meet the functional requirements specified by fleet users through various platform program offices.<br /><br />Provide systems engineering analysis to support the NAVAIR SETR process.<br /><br /><strong>Required Skills:</strong><br /><br />Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.<br /><br />A Bachelors Degree plus 6 years of engineering experience.<br /><br />An active Secret security clearance is required.<br /><br />Five years of experience directly related to Naval Aviation Systems.<br /><br />Demonstrated experience in requirements definition, SOW & CDRL development, proposal evaluation and technical oversight.<br /><br />Demonstrated experience in producing technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.<br /><br />Demonstrated knowledge in system integration, configuration, management, quality assurance testing, acquisition and resource management.<br /><br />Demonstrated knowledge of the NAVAIR SETR process.<br /><br />Strong systems engineering, communications, and analysis skills.<br /><br /><strong>Desired Skills:</strong><br /><br />Understanding of TAMMAC digital map computers, and LPIA radar altimeters.<br /><br />Understanding of future display technologies and how they will fit in military aircraft.<br /><br />Understanding of NAVAIR Flight Test process.
