F-35 Structural Certification Engineer<br />Key Role:<br /><br />Provide engineering review, analysis, technical oversight, and administrative support to air aehicle-airframe integrated product team (IPT) lead within a Joint program office with emphasis on structural design maturation and verification and configuration management coordination. Perform analytical, technical, and administrative support to the airframe IPT lead during the planning, documentation, and execution of all F-35 structural design requirements, criteria, and design maturation activities, including production redesign, retrofit design, and non-standardized repairs for ground and flight test articles. Assess requirements verification through review of technical data, including flight and ground test results and coordination with other related discipline experts. Identify operational deficiencies and other key issues, conduct research to develop alternatives, and provide recommendations and support for resolution. Assess and coordinate review of business case analyses (BCA) for contracting efforts, including engineering change proposals, low rate initial production, full rate production and foreign military sales contracts, and proposed test plans. Perform technical evaluation and coordination for airframe-related change recommendations, major variances, and engineering change proposals, and prepare supporting briefs and supports airframe IPT at contractor and program level decision boards.<br /><br />Basic Qualifications:<br /><br />-6 years of experience in an engineering role<br /><br />-3+ years of experience with military or civil aircraft structural design or testing<br /><br />-Experience with Microsoft Office suite<br /><br />-Knowledge of configuration management principles<br /><br />-Secret clearance<br /><br />-BA or BS degree<br /><br />Additional Qualifications:<br /><br />-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills<br /><br />-BA or BS degree in Engineering preferred<br /><br />Clearance:<br /><br />Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required. <br /><br />We're an EOE that empowers our people-no matter their race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristic-to fearlessly drive change.
