The Biological Oceanography Program supports fundamental research in biological oceanography and marine ecology (populations to ecosystems). This is broadly defined as relationships among aquatic organisms and their interactions with the environments of the oceans or Great Lakes.<br /><br />More information about the Biological Oceanography Program can be found here .<br /><br />The responsibilities of the NSF program officer are constantly evolving.
