As a Technology Inside Sales Representative, you will support the business development and sales generation for airport technology solutions with an emphasis on identifying prospects and contacts within for new business. <br /><br />Technology Inside Sales Representative<br /><br />This is a non-career, term job.<br /><br />Serves in the Technology Business Development and Sales (TBDS) Department of the Office of Technology in the Headquarters Office.<br /><br />Supports the TBDS Department by identifying and qualifying prospects and contacts within a target market. Contacts prospects to determine interest level and need; responds to incoming sales calls and demo requests. Tracks and updates prospect lists within a customer relationship management system. Performs related functions.<br /><br /><b> GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES </b><br /><br />Conducts research to identify prospects and contacts within a target market.<br /><br />Serves as first line of communication for inbound and outbound sales calls.<br /><br />Researches and identifies prospect lists by following up with trade show leads; targets markets through social networking and other lead sourcing avenues.<br /><br />Calls or emails prospects to determine interest level and need. Follows up with requested product information or passes requests on to other TBDS staff for processing.<br /><br />Schedules sales calls or meetings for the Technology Business Development Lead.<br /><br />Tracks prospects leads in a Customer Relationship Management system (CRM) or other tools.<br /><br />Builds and maintains strong relationships with existing contacts.<br /><br />Assists with industry events attended or hosted by the Airports Authority. Maintains accurate and detailed contact list of attendees.<br /><br />May assist in product or software demonstrations.<br /><br />Assists other team members as needed in a range of other tasks to support the group's overall mission.<br /><br />Performs other duties as assigned.<br /><br /><b> QUALIFICATIONS </b><br /><br />Two years of progressively responsible experience in sales or marketing, preferably within a B2B environment.<br /><br />Ability to analyze data and information and formulate recommendations, with emphasis on market research.<br /><br />Ability to work independently, taking the lead on tasks and completing the task with a high degree of quality and timeliness.<br /><br />Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<br /><br />Ability to understand technical information and communicate it in a clear manner for a broad range of audiences.<br /><br />Skill in using a computer and office software, with emphasis on software needed tracking and maintaining call lists.<br /><br /><b> PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS </b><br /><br />Prior experience in technology sales and marketing.<br /><br />Experience using Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM).<br /><br /><b> EDUCATION </b><br /><br />A Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Communications, Marketing, Business, or related field.<br /><br /><b> CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES REQUIRED </b><br /><br />None.<br /><br /><b> NECESSARY SPECIAL FACTORS </b><br /><br />Work may require occasional travel, such as participation in trade shows, conferences, and sales missions. <br /><br />Work is typically reviewed in progress and upon completion for quantity, quality, timeliness, customer service, team work, and adherence to guidelines.<br /><br />#WP<br /><br />#DICE<br /><br /><b>A background security investigation will be required for all new hires.</b> <br /><br />Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority is an Equal Opportunity Employer.| <b>Follow us on Twitter MWAAcareers.</b>
