NVIDIA is searching for a Director of Intellectual Property Transactions reporting directly to the VP of Intellectual Property. This position will be primarily responsible for leading and directing our global IP transactions, including patent licensing and sales agreements.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Negotiate licensing agreements, including with occasional international travel to work with our partners and customers.

  • Develop internal positions on licensing issues within NVIDIA’s field of interest.

  • Conduct analyses of our patent portfolio.

  • Assist in the development of robust processes for contract review and negotiation.

  • Implement strategies for the effective use of NVIDIA’s intellectual property in litigation and licensing contexts.

  • Provide guidance to the business on the development and protection of IP in general.

What we need to see:

  • Significant experience (5+ years) in drafting and negotiating IP transaction matters, including patent licenses, open source licenses, sales, end user license agreements, and joint collaborations.

  • 8+ years of management experience required

  • Highly effective verbal and written communications skills, including strong persuasive skills.

  • Empirically-based knowledge and views on how to build robust processes that recognize and mitigate IP risk.

  • J.D. degree required.

  • A license to practice law in California required.

  • Engineering degree or equivalent experience within the semiconductor industry.
  • Litigation experience.
  • Experience in a dynamic, fast-growing technology company.
