We are seeking a hard-working and ambitious attorney to provide legal support to our Global Procurement Team as it works to select suppliers, negotiation supplier agreements, and manage supplier relationships. This role will include significant contract drafting and negotiations and you must be prepared to drive both strategic and high-volume transactions to closure while managing our risk profile. This full-time position will be based in our Lehi, UT or San Jose, CA office.
What You Will Do
•Review, draft and negotiate agreements in support of our Global Procurement Team
•Support and advise on supplier-related risk assessments
•Lead process improvement initiatives related to the procurement contracting process
•Coordinate with subject matter experts across our Legal Department, including patent, copyright, privacy, and product attorneys
•Support and build positive relationships with our procurement teams and advise multiple levels of management on legal issues
What You Need to Succeed
•5+ years of meaningful legal experience (preferably including software / cloud-based services industry experience)
•Experience negotiating and drafting transactional agreements (including software license agreements)
•Technical background or a geek-level interest in software products and development preferred
•A sense of humor and enjoy working on a team and with people at all levels in the organization
•Effective interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
•Dedication to providing clients with high quality and timely legal advice
•Good business instincts
