<b>Duties</b><br /><br /><b>Summary</b><br /><br />This vacancy is for a <strong>Supervisory Budget Analyst</strong> position in the <strong>Budget Division</strong> located at the U.S. Census Bureau Headquarters in Suitland, Maryland. Experience for this position includes: Analyzing, future-year budget requests, congressional directives or other budgetary challenges and advising and recommending solutions . Analyzing current-year spending within programs and assessing financial performance against plans, drawing conclusions, and making recommendations. Experience managing funds from non-appropriated sources, including Working Capital Funds and reimbursable funding from Federal agencies and non-Federal entitites. Experience motivating and leading a team of analysts and guide them in the performance of their daily activities, satisfying multiple priorities within tight deadlines while ensuring workload is balanced among staff. Reviewing congressional testimony, responding to QFRs (questions for the record), preparing budget justifications, exhibits and reports. Developing, recommending, and implementing budgetary policies and establishing proper management and budgetary internal controls.<br /><br />Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social).
