As a Cloud strategist and architect, you know how to design and develop DoD policies and practices to support Cloud-based technical architectures that meets customer needs and takes advantage of Cloud capabilities. We need you to help us develop Cloud-based processes for DoD CIO to support a consistent approach to migration of DoD's toughest customers.<br /><br />As a Cloud strategist and architect on our team, you'll develop strategies for DoD to move entities to government Cloud's, private Clouds and commercial Clouds. You will support developing consistent strategies for DoD organizations around Cloud migration approaches, multi-Cloud environments, and design approaches to DevSecOps adoption. You'll recommend tools and capabilities based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on premise, Cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You'll lead your team as they help the customer to overcome their most difficult challenges in the Cloud. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with DoD CIO to ensure standards are met throughout the Cloud migration process. This is an opportunity to review the latest Cloud technologies and identify applicability to the DoD as you look for ways to improve your customer's environment using current Cloud capabilities. We'll help you develop the career you want, as you chart your own course for success.<br /><br /><b>You Have:</b><br /><br />-5+ years of experience in a Cloud strategy, architect, or engineer role<br /><br />-3+ years of experience with building, delivering, and managing Cloud IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS environments on commercial Cloud platforms, including Amazon Web Services, MS Azure, Google Cloud, or Oracle<br /><br />-3+ years of experience with establishing, deploying, securing, and monitoring Cloud-based application environments at scale<br /><br />-3+ years of experience with Cloud strategy design, process development, or Cloud governance strategies<br /><br />-Ability to operate and thrive with partial information and ambiguity and identify upcoming risks, issues, and bottlenecks proactively<br /><br />-Ability to deliver a message to diverse audiences, including senior leadership<br /><br />-Ability to develop briefs and whitepapers, maturity models, metrics, and policy for Cloud-based capabilities<br /><br />-Secret clearance<br /><br />-BS degree<br /><br />-Cloud-centered Certification in Cloud +, AWS, or Azure<br /><br /><b>Nice If You Have:</b><br /><br />-Experience with building, delivering, and managing Private Cloud IaaS environments using multiple platforms, including MilCloud 1.0 or MilCloud 2.0<br /><br />-Knowledge of DevSecOps automation across the application build life cycle to streamline processes using tools<br /><br />-Knowledge of log parsing and aggregation tools in the Cloud, including Splunk and ELK<br /><br />-Knowledge of Cloud orchestration tools, including Chef, Puppet, and Ansible<br /><br />-Knowledge of patch or vulnerability management capabilities in the Cloud for DoD applications<br /><br />-Knowledge of monitoring, alarm, and alerting tools in the Cloud<br /><br />-Knowledge of DoD Cyber requirements for the Cloud to support securing DoD workloads<br /><br />-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills, including listening skills<br /><br />-BS degree in CS, Statistics, Mathematics, or Engineering preferred<br /><br />-Cybersecurity or DevSecOps Certification a plus<br /><br /><b>Clearance:</b><br /><br />Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.<br /><br />We're an EOE that empowers our people-no matter their race, color, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristic-to fearlessly drive change.
